Objectives of data processing by the data controller and third parties
We process your personal data only for the objectives stated in this data protection declaration. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties for purposes other than those given. We give your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent,
- processing is necessary to transact a contract with you,
- processing is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation,
- processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data.
Collection of personal data during visits to our website
When using the website for information purposes only, for example, if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data, which are technically necessary in order for us to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security (legal framework: Art. 6, §1(1)(f) GDPR):
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access Status/HTTP status code
- The amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request originates
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of the browser software
In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk in the browser you use and through which certain information flows to the person responsible for setting the cookie (to us). Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. They serve to make what is offered in the internet more user-friendly and effective overall.
Like many other websites, we also use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard drive. This automatically provides us with certain data such as IP address, type of browser used, operating system and your connection to the Internet.
Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transmit viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can make navigation easier for you and enable the correct display of our web pages.
Under no circumstances will the data we collect be passed on to third parties or linked to personal data without your consent.
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (i.e. SSL) via HTTPS.
Based on your expressed consent, we will regularly send you our newsletter or similar information per e-mail to your specified e-mail address.
To receive the newsletter, you only need to provide your e-mail address. When registering to receive our newsletter, the data you provide will be used solely for this purpose. Subscribers may also be notified by e-mail of circumstances relevant to the service or registration (e.g. changes to the newsletter offer or technical circumstances).
To activate your registration we need a valid e-mail address. In order to verify that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. This means we record the ordering of the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation e-mail and the receipt of the requested answer. Any further data will not be collected. The data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of your personal data and their use for the newsletter dispatch at any time. In each newsletter you will find a corresponding link. You can also unsubscribe directly from this website at any time or inform us of your request by using the contact option at the end of this data protection notice.
By contacting us regarding any questions per e-mail or using our contact form, you give us your voluntary consent for the purpose of contact. A valid e-mail address is required for this purpose. This is used to assign the request and then reply to it. The specification of any further data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions. After your request has been processed, your personal data will be automatically deleted.
Application of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (hereinafter: Google). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help this website analyze how its users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
The purposes of data processing are to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on activities on the website. Other related services will then be provided based on the use of the website and the Internet. The processing is based on the valid interest of the website operator.
In addition or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent tracking by Google Analytics on our pages by clicking on this link (implementation on the website required). An opt-out cookie will be installed on your device. This will prevent Google Analytics from collecting data for this website and for this browser in the future as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.
Use of Script Libraries (Google Web Fonts)
In order to present our contents correctly and graphically appealing with all browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as Google Web Fonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/) on this website. Google Web Fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If your browser does not support Google Web Fonts or does not allow access, content will be displayed in a default font.
Utilizing script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. In theory, it is possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of these corresponding libraries collect data.
Application of Google Maps
Google AJAX Search API
On these pages we use Ajax. Google AJAX Search API is a service offered by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This tool optimizes loading speeds. For this purpose, program libraries from Google servers are called up and the CDN (content delivery network) from Google is utilized. If you previously used jQuery on another page of the Google CDN, your browser will revert to the cached copy. If this is not the case, a download is required with data from your browser being sent to Google Inc. “(“Google”). Your data will be transferred to the USA. Find more data protection information from this provider here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de
Google Custom Search
Our website uses Google AdSense, an online advertising service of Google Inc. “(“Google”). Google AdSense uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on the user’s computer, to help the website analyze how users utilize the site. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this website. The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the IP address of the users) and delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information may be passed on by Google to Google’s contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored about you.
Users can prevent the installation of Google AdSense cookies in various ways:
- a) by setting browser software accordingly;
b) by deactivating interest-based ads on Google;
c) by deactivating the interest-based advertisements of providers that are part of the
“About Ads” self-regulation campaign;
d) by permanent deactivation through a browser plug-in.
The settings b) and c) are deleted when cookies are deleted in the browser settings.
For more information about privacy and cookies for advertising on Google AdSense, please refer to Google’s privacy statement.
On some of our websites we embed YouTube videos. YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA is the operator of the corresponding plug-ins. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. YouTube will be informed which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can collate your personal surfing behavior. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.
If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when viewing YouTube videos. YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you must block the saving of cookies in your browser.
Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider’s data protection declaration at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=de
We have integrated the social media buttons of the following companies on our website:
Our website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an ad placed by Google, Google AdWords sets a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad displayed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be traced through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected utilizing the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page equipped with a conversion tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that personally identifies users.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example via browser settings that generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies, or set your browser so that cookies are blocked by the “googleleadservices.com” domain. Please note that you may not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not wish measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.
Google Remarketing Application
This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. It presents interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. A “cookie” is stored in the visitor’s browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to Google’s advertising network. These pages may contain advertisements that refer to content that the visitor has previously viewed on websites that use Google’s remarketing feature.
Your rights as a data subject
You have the following rights in regard to us concerning your personal data:
– Right to information (Art. 15 EU GDPR),
– Right to rectification (Art. 16 EU GDPR),
– Right to deletion (Art. 17 EU GDPR),
– Right to limitation of processing (Art. 18 EU GDPR),

– Right to data transferability (Art. 20 EU GDPR),
– Right of appeal to the relevant supervisory authority (Art. 57 §1f, EU GDPR).
If you have given us your consent, you can revoke it at any time effective from that point forward.
If you have given us your consent, you also have the right to revoke your consent at any time (Art. 7 §3, EU GDPR). All data processing that we have carried out up to your revocation remains legal in this case. We will inform you about the possibility of revoking your consent and the concrete steps for exercising the right of revocation at the point at which we obtain your consent.
Changes to data protection regulations
We reserve the right to adapt this data protection declaration so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to integrate changes to our services into the data protection declaration, e.g. when introducing new services. The new data protection declaration will then apply for your next visit.
